Made from the softest young leaf tips of the *First Flush of the season and medium steamed (Nakamushi). This delicate loose leaf Sencha tea has a lower caffeine catechin content (compared with later flushes) making it less bitter and astringent. It also has a higher content of amino acids (thiamine) which gives it a Full-bodied flavor and sweetness with a refreshing and invigorating scent of new leaves.
